My first post CLRS

History

The Curepipe Livestock Research Station was formerly known as the Government Dairy. It was set up in 1920 and was renamed as Curepipe Livestock Breeding Station in the 1960’s. It played a major role in the development of the livestock sector in Mauritius and was upgraded in the 1970’s under the UNDP/FAO Milk and Meat Project. In 1999, the station was transferred to the Agricultural Research and Extension Unit and was renamed Curepipe Livestock Research Station.
